Medical Courier - 2nd Shift

Description

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking reliable and customer service-oriented individuals to join their team as Medical Couriers in Dunwoody, GA. The position involves managing the shipment and delivery of blood and blood components.

• Available Shift: Second Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm, 5 days a week. Some night, weekend, and on-call hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet LifeSouth's driver eligibility requirements
• Able to work a varied schedule, including night, weekend, and on-call hours
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and instructions
• Effective communication skills, both oral and in writing
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, proportion, percentages, etc.
• Physical abilities to stand, walk, lift up to 70 pounds, grasp, and perform repetitive motions

Starting Salary Range

$17.25 - $18.97 an hour, commensurate with education and directly related experience

Requirements

• Criminal background check
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen

Skills

• Reviewing shipping notices, orders, and other records
• Carrying out blood orders from hospitals and other customers
• Inspecting and evaluating blood products
• Packaging and delivering blood products
• Running errands, delivering documents, picking up supplies, and transporting small items for repair
• Assisting the Hospital Services Team Leader in resolving problems according to LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Providing high-level customer service to internal and external customers
