About the role
The EMS Medical Collections Specialist will be in office. They will be responsible for:
- Work Self Pay aging
- Analyze accounts insuring
- Patient Demographics are correct & Insurance has been billed appropriately
- Call patients to discuss balance, collect payments & set up payment plans as needed
- Process Return mail
- Assist in preparing refunds
- Verify Insurance eligibility via multiple websites
- Assist with Probate/Estates
- Problem solving skills
- Computer knowledge & Excel knowledge
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to work in high volume setting
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
- Keep a professional demeanor when speaking to patients

Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience in medical collections, billing, or insurance verification required
