About the role

Medical Coder (Outpatient) – fully remote position supporting Veterans Affairs medical centers in Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. The role involves coding a high volume of outpatient encounters (clinic visits, urgent care, radiology, laboratory, ancillary services, outpatient surgery) using ICD-10‑CM, CPT‑4, HCPCS Level II, applying E/M guidelines, NCCI edits, and modifiers. Work is performed in VA electronic health record systems (CPRS, VistA PCE) while maintaining ≥95% coding accuracy, confidentiality, and federal compliance. Initial engagement is 12 months with potential for four additional 12‑month option periods.
