Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operations and administrative lead for Medical and Clinical Affairs, ensuring efficient execution of department programs, processes, and initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end administration of educational grants, fellowship grants, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) programs, including application intake, review coordination, contract administration, budget tracking, reconciliation, and project closeout.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional governance committees, facilitating grant and research proposal reviews, documentation, communications, and decision-making processes.
- Partner with Medical Affairs leadership to track project progress, monitor risks, manage deliverables, and provide regular status updates and operational reporting to senior leadership.
- Manage departmental financial operations, including budget planning, forecasting, accruals, invoice processing, expense tracking, contract management, and vendor oversight.
- Support physician training, evaluation, certification, and proctoring programs by coordinating program requirements, documentation, scheduling, reimbursement processes, training materials, and learning management system updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals, investigators, study teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to ensure successful execution of Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs initiatives.
- Provide operational support for a variety of Medical Affairs activities, including advisory boards, fellowship programs, research studies, publications, educational programs, controlled document management, and other strategic projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, or program management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- High visibility and high volume external and internal customer-facing role requiring strong consistent engagement and communication.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Medical Device environments is preferred.
Pay
The target base salary range for this position will range from $76,000 to $95,000 annually. Individual compensation will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. This role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs (target bonus of 5%) and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
