Medical Clerk
SUMMARY
The Medical Clerk requires the incumbent to provide administrative support to the Office Manager. The medical clerk is responsible for the maintenance and organization of patient charts.
Job Duties & Essential Functions
- File documents upon receipt.
- Scan and fax documents.
- Retrive documents from the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Validate data for PQRS reporting.
- Answer and direct phone calls, document in EMR message center when required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education & Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED.
- 6 Months of Administrative Assistant and/or Medical Filing experience.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word.
- Must have excellent expressive and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- EMR experience preferred.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers.
- The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day.
Pay
$18.98 - $23.72
Schedule
Full Time Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; evenings and weekends may be required.
