Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Additional business and computer courses desirable
• 3+ years medical cash posting experience preferred
• Self-motivated and able to consistently meet deadlines
• Proficient in verbal and written communications, including active listening skills
• Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and high attention to detail
• Investigative personality - ability to efficiently determine the problem and get to the bottom of an issue
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret remittance instructions and apply payments accurately to invoices
• Identify and reconcile payment differences, research online history for electronic payments, paybacks, and any other applicable transactions
• Utilize multiple Excel spreadsheets to assist with cash reconciliation and to support transactions
• Utilize web portals to identify and retrieve remittance details
• Monthly reconciliation of bank statement
• Work in a team environment and meeting all obligations and duties as assigned by manager
