About the role
This role provides Medical Assistance and Claims Management services for insurers and brokers around the world. The Medical Assistance Nurse Advisor supports the Medical Operations – Medical Team department and is integral to the provision of Medical Assistance.
Responsibilities
- Review medical information in a timely fashion and provide an expert opinion on how to provide the highest level of care to our client group.
- Manage a wide variety of cases, from non-urgent outpatient reviews to emergency medical evacuations.
- Interact with medical professionals from different countries to obtain medical information in a timely manner to provide an effective response.
- Draw upon own experience and the shared experience of the team to provide an informed opinion on case management.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Operations team to ensure open and effective communication.
- Perform telephonic patient assessments and provide remote health advice for some of our prestige clients.
Requirements
- Qualified and registered nurse with recent clinical expertise, preferably from a critical care area.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
- Experience managing a caseload and prioritizing tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to integrate and work well within a team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
- The ability to plan and manage a caseload.
- A can-do attitude and the ability to take ownership of problems and resolve them.
- An effective time manager who can prioritize tasks.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical case handling procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals internationally.
- Experience in providing remote health advice.

Pay
$80,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
10 hours a day (Flexible schedule) Onsite. Occasional Night shifts required.

Applicants will need to have a valid passport to travel as training will likely be provided in the UK.
