Medical Billing Manager

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Billing Manager (Contractor) to lead billing operations and revenue cycle management across multiple clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can motivate a team of independent contractors, and values accuracy, compliance, and client success. Behavioral Health Billing - multi-state billing a plus! This is a remote, work-from home position.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes for assigned clients
• Close monthly billing cycles and prepare timely AR, payment, and adjustment reports
• Lead and mentor remote billing contractors, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Serve as the main client contact (billing staff, CFOs, CEOs), building strong professional relationships
• Design, update, and implement billing procedures and train staff accordingly
• Interview, onboard, and support contractor development
• Collaborate with leadership on client needs, performance, and resource planning

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management, billing operations, or related leadership role
• Proven ability to improve processes and resolve claims issues effectively
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities
