Medical Billing & Credentialing Specialist

Zeeva Behavioral Health · Henderson, NV · 2 wk ago
On-siteHealthcare$25–$30/hrFull-time

About the role

Zeeva Behavioral Health is a woman-owned, therapist-owned and therapist-led group psychotherapy practice with offices in Sherman Oaks and West LA, and telehealth across California. We believe exceptional mental health care should be deeply human and accessible. That's why we intentionally work with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and most major commercial insurance plans. Making quality care accessible isn't an afterthought. It's part of who we are. We're a growing, boutique practice built on clinical excellence, meaningful relationships, and five core values: Heart-Centered, Dedicated to Excellence, Inspired Learning, Brave Reflection, and The Power of We.

We're looking for an experienced, exceptionally organized Medical Billing & Credentialing Specialist who will take full ownership of our medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance issues, client balances, and clinician credentialing. This is a hands-on role for someone who gets things done. You don't consider a claim complete because you submitted it. You follow it through until it's paid or appropriately resolved. You don't let denials pile up, applications sit untouched, or outstanding balances go unaddressed. We need someone who can walk into imperfect systems, figure out what's wrong, fix it, and establish processes that prevent the same problems from happening again. You don't just complete tasks. You own outcomes. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right, follows through, and wants to be a vital part of a team that values excellence, accountability, and genuine collaboration. We'd love to welcome you to Zeeva.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all claims from submission through payment or documented final resolution across Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance.
  • Investigate and resolve rejections, denials, underpayments, unpaid claims, and aged AR, including appeals and timely filing.
  • Handle all secondary billing, coordination of benefits, and insurance discrepancies.
  • Own client balances, statements, collections follow-up, payment arrangements, and resolution of outstanding accounts.
  • Post and reconcile insurance and client payments, EOBs, ERAs, and deposits.
  • Monitor all AR, including insurance and client balances, ensuring nothing sits unworked or falls through the cracks.
  • Identify billing errors, compliance concerns, and recurring payer problems, and address their root causes.
  • Manage all clinician credentialing, enrollment, and recredentialing with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payers.
