What You'll Do Prepare, review, and process insurance claims accurately and efficientlySubmit electronic claims to a variety of insurance payersResearch denied or rejected claims, correct errors, and resubmit for paymentReview accounts receivable reports and perform follow-up on outstanding balancesInvestigate and respond to payer inquiries regarding billing and collections activityMaintain detailed tracking of billing issues, resolutions, and follow-up effortsResolve customer inquiries and billing concerns with professionalism and urgencyEnsure compliance with billing procedures, payer requirements, and documentation standards Qualifications Required Minimum of 1 year of provider-side medical billing experienceExperience working with commercial insurance payers, Medicare, and MedicaidExperience managing claim rejections and denials through clearinghouse systems such as Availity, Waystar, or similar platformsStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent Preferred Medical Billing and Coding certificationHealthcare revenue cycle or accounts receivable experienceStrong organizational and analytical skills What We're Looking For Someone who takes initiative and can independently research solutionsA detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating billing issuesA team player who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environmentA reliable individual committed to accuracy and customer service excellence Work Environment Professional office setting with cubicle workstationsCollaborative department consisting of approximately 60 team membersComprehensive training program (2 weeks)100% attendance required during training period Hybrid Work Opportunity Employees who consistently meet performance and productivity metrics may become eligible for a hybrid schedule after six months. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
