About the role

The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient insurance benefits and authorizations, and data collection and analysis with regard to client accounts. Works with Eatontown billing staff to resolve billing issues, and under the supervision of the Patient Accounts Supervisor to implement these functions for the Agency and its affiliates.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for obtaining and verifying insurance benefits.
• Responsible for PE, NJMHAPP and subsidy applications and follow up authorizations.
• Responsible for obtaining financial information for subsidized clients.
• Responsible for ISC and EMVES eligibility checks.
• Responsible for reviewing 270/271 report and resolving client benefit discrepancies.
• Works with Eatontown billing staff to resolve billing issues.
• Attends meetings as a representative of the billing staff and attends training sessions and seminars as required by the Patient Accounts Supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of client-related information.

Qualifications

• This is an in-person position requiring you to be at Eatontown NJ office location.
• Requires sitting and performing repetitive movement while using the computer during a portion of the day.
• Computer literate. Proficiency with MS Office.
• Daily location assignment contingent upon client benefit and authorization needs.
• Two (2) years' experience in billing/Accounts Receivable.
• Three (3) years or above experience in billing and one year supervisory.
