Medical Biller

Job Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation and assign appropriate billing and coding classifications for services and diagnoses.
• Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with payer requirements.
• Investigate claim denials, rejections, and edits and take corrective action to support reimbursement.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on unpaid claims to maintain healthy revenue cycle performance.
• Collaborate with providers and internal teams to clarify documentation and improve billing accuracy.

Requirements

• Hold a recognized coding certification or possess equivalent professional credentials.
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of coding standards, billing regulations, and reimbursement processes.
• Use electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office applications effectively in daily work.
• Maintain compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies when handling patient information.

Pay

Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $38.00 per hour.
