Medical Assisting Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Assisting Instructor with a background in health sciences, specifically RNs, LPNs, or certified medical assistants, who have experience in an ambulatory patient care setting and possess teaching experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about sharing knowledge, motivating others, and prioritizing student success.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans using industry-standard approaches (e.g., multimedia, adult learning methodology).
• Teaches courses as assigned, instructs, and evaluates students, developing their skills, and encouraging growth.
• Tracks students' attendance, performance, and grades.
• Participates in various administrative activities such as attending faculty/staff meetings or in-service meetings.
• Participates in graduation ceremonies, as assigned.
• Participates regularly in continuing professional development activities.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of practical work experience in a medical environment, with hands-on knowledge of related procedures.
• Certification as RMA, CMA, or CCMA is required.
