Medical Assistant Specialist - Ent - Full Time

Essential Functions

• Sums and prepares patients for office visits.
• Assists physicians with medical office procedures.
• Administers medication, including injections, and documents as required by specialty.
• Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting in patient's medical record.
• Maintains the integrity of the office.
• Performs additional duties specific to the specialty and/or acquires additional licenses or credentials.
• Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policies and procedures and Nursing Update newsletters, and maintains current certification in CPR.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
