Medical Assistant - PRN Float
Responsibilities
- Greet patients promptly and provide clear communication about next steps and wait times
- Offer solutions to patient concerns and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations
- Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results; execute follow-up calls with urgency
- Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when needed
- Accurately document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and other pertinent details
- Auxiliary with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision
- Prepare and shoot X-Rays, ensuring proper positioning, safety, radiation protection, and shielding
- Complete all required visit documentation and maintain stocked, clean exam rooms
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained and directed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
- Experience performing X-Rays is desirable
