Position Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our providers and Operations Manager to deliver exceptional patient care while helping create a welcoming, organized, and positive clinic environment. You'll combine clinical skills with outstanding customer service to ensure every patient feels supported throughout their health journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs.
- Perform body composition analysis, urinalysis, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
- Administer IM injections in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Prepare laboratory orders and assist with reviewing incoming laboratory results.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical readiness.
- Absorb patient care and referrals when appropriate.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
- Conduct follow-up calls to review progress, answer questions, and encourage patient success.
- Educate patients on supplements, wellness products, and other clinic offerings.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold clinical standards.
Patient Experience
- Welcome patients warmly and create a positive first impression.
- Build trusting relationships through active listening and compassionate communication.
- Celebrate patient milestones and successes.
- Help patients feel comfortable asking questions.
- Reinforce treatment plans and encourage accountability.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience from check-in through checkout.
Operations & Team Support
- Answer phones and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Support insurance verification and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain inventory of clinical and office supplies.
- Scan and upload documentation into patient records.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic.
- Participate in community outreach, wellness events, and clinic marketing initiatives to help build awareness and patient engagement.
- Auxiliary in training new team members as requested.
- Look for opportunities to improve clinic efficiency and patient experience.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification (required).
- Experience with phlebotomy, EKGs, and IM injections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable learning new technology and EMR systems.
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Experience We Value
- Experience or interest in: Medical weight management, nutrition and healthy lifestyle coaching, customer service with a passion for helping others, motivational interviewing, insurance verification and front office responsibilities, sales or patient enrollment experience in a healthcare or wellness setting, training in hormone optimization, IV therapy support, and other wellness services.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay (commensurate with experience)
Position Details
- Part-Time (24–30 hours/week)
- In-person position
- Saturday morning availability required
- Opportunity for future growth as the clinic expands
- Anticipated start date: Approximately 2–3 weeks prior to our planned September 2026 clinic opening
