Responsibilities

• Assists physicians in examinations and treatments
• Rooms patients and gathers necessary information
• Measures vital signs and records data in patient charts/EMR
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications: MA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic
• BLS required
• EKG and Phlebotomy certifications for CNA license only
• Must be a professional, organized, detail-oriented team player with effective communication skills
• Compassionate demeanor, excellent customer service, and high ethical standards
• HIPAA/OSHA compliance required
• Proficient in computer applications and typing, EMR systems
• Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology a plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training/certification
• At least one of the following licenses/certifications: MA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic
• Foreign Medical Doctor with a foreign medical diploma hired after 5/1/17 must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of employment with BHSF
• CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida
• Bilingual preferred
• Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology a plus

• Effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Proficient in computer applications and typing skills
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Bilingual proficiency preferred

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $21.24 - $27.61 per hour, depending on experience.
