Overview The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the physician and in cooperation with the other office staff in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of the practice and UF Health Central Florida goals and objectives. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED requiredPost-high school special training requiredAssociate degree preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferredBasic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained throughout employment Required Skills, Qualifications, And Experience Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMinimum of one year of experience working in a physician's office requiredExperience with practice management systems preferredKnowledge of medical terminology preferred
