Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Escorting patients to exam room.
- Versatile clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, and patient check-in/check-out.
- Aiding providers with patient care, preparing exam rooms, and preparing patients for providers (such as histories, blood pressure, vitals).
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments as requested by the physician.
- Ordering and maintaining exam room supplies and instruments.
- Following up with lab work and/or x-rays as directed by the physician.
- Administering injections/vaccinations as directed by the physician.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Previous clinical and administrative experience in a Pediatric Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Consistent punctuality and efficient task completion.
- Adaptability to expanding responsibilities.
- Credential as a Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA).
Education
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.
