About the role

This per diem Medical Assistant position supports our Pediatric Urgent Care Clinics in Gig Harbor, Olympia, and Tacoma. Additional information about these clinics can be found here:

  • Gig Harbor: Mary Bridge Children's Urgent Care Gig Harbor
  • Olympia: Mary Bridge Children's Urgent Care Olympia

Responsibilities

Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including:

  • Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
  • Interviewing patients
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Aiding patients in preparing for exams or treatments
  • Collecting specimens, including venipuncture
  • Administering medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
  • Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers

Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned, including:

  • Sending and receiving of patient medical records
  • Facilitating patient referrals
  • Preparing forms for patients

Requirements

Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Current BLS certification

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.

The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
