About the Role

The Medical Assistant/Patient Representative provides healthcare services to individuals as instructed by the Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Responsibilities include performing routine clinical procedures, participating in patient education, entering documentation into patients’ health records, and other assigned duties within the scope of their certification.

This is a non-exempt position requiring reporting during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare services under the instruction of a Physician or APP.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures.
  • Participate in patient education.
  • Enter appropriate documentation into patients’ health records.
  • Perform all other assigned duties within the scope of certification.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience in a practice (preferred).

  • Days of Week: Monday through Friday.
  • Hours of Work: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
