Medical Assistant - Part Time

About the role

University Cancer & Blood Center is hiring for a part-time Medical Assistant for their Clinical team. This position will be Monday at their Snellville location and Tuesday, Thursday at their Covington location.

Job Duties

• Mets and greets patients.
• Obtains appropriate patient information and medical history.
• Accurately completes and documents patient medical and physical histories and other related items in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Accurately records vital signs.
• Aids in the collection of blood when needed.
• Reviews next day schedule to ensure all testing is completed.
• Prepares and maintains examination rooms.
• Maintains examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist providers in bone marrow biopsies.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred or EMTPrevious medical experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to work individually and as a team.
• A positive attitude is a must!
