Medical Assistant Part Time

About the role

The Medical Assistant will join Shady Grove Fertility in Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, providing support in various aspects of fertility care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
• Utilize the computer to enter labs and print labels, ensuring orders for lab work are in place
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills required
• High school diploma or completion of a certified or formal medical training program preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:45 AM to 12:00 PM and every other Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time
