Medical Assistant (Part Time)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Medical Assistant with front office expertise to enhance our team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, EKG, and perform phlebotomy.
• Administer IM injections and GLP injections.
• Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain patient laboratory results.
• Absorb patient referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
• Conduct follow-up calls to patients to discuss progress and address concerns.
• Perform other clinical duties as required.
• Utilize a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls.
• Congratulate patients on their progress and address concerns.
• Refer non-routine, sensitive, or complex requests to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain a friendly environment, greet patients, and uphold outstanding standards.
• Absorb daily inventory levels of clinical and office supplies.
• Perform daily scanning and uploading of documents in patient files.
• Train additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.
• Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification.
• Clinical experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• At least 4 years of experience with Phlebotomy and Vitamin Injections and GLP injections is must.
• Front office experience, including insurance and Verification of benefits.
• Prior experience and training in exercise (a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary

[$19 to $22 per hour, Commensurate with Experience]
