Medical Assistant - Part Time

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists medical professional staff members by performing routine patient care, laboratory procedures and clerical procedures to support the delivery of patient care
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and properly stocked examination room for each patient visit
• Maintains a smooth patient flow by assuring that clients are serviced promptly and effectively

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Successful completion of a Clinical Medical Assistant program required
• Successful completion of 160-hour MA Externship required
• OR Completion of BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing)
• Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Reproductive Health experience preferred
• Phlebotomy skills, or desire to learn, strongly preferred
• Experience using a computer, Microsoft Products and EMR preferred
• Current and active CPR Card, required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Bilingual language is a plus
