Schedule
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility when fully staffed.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and rooming patients, recording vital signs.
- Documenting and reporting patient conditions, medical history, and treatments.
- Aiding in patient education under provider guidance.
- Preparing and disinfecting exam rooms and equipment.
- Managing supplies and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed;
- Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting;
- 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement).
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
- Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Pay
Sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time); 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time).
