Medical Assistant, Outpatient - AHMO Sanger (Full-Time, Day Shift)

About the role

Adventist Health Reedley has been serving the Central Valley since 2011, comprising a 49-bed acute care hospital and 60 clinics in 27 rural communities with primary and specialty care services. Responsibilities

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife. Essential functions include:

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients
• Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers
• Obtains vital signs
• Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician
• Performs venipunctures as ordered
• Performs audiometry and vision testing
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and work experience requirements include a High School Education/GED or equivalent. Preferred certifications and licenses include:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire
• Phlebotomy certificate

Benefits

A comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions, including a pay range with an estimated base pay of $25.00 to $30.01, and additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $30.01, with the possibility of additional individual compensation.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, 8 hours per shift.
