Medical Assistant (Out in Field)

About the role

Lykos Medical, part of Brigade Health, is looking for a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Grand Junction. If you enjoy building relationships with patients, working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, and making a meaningful impact in people's lives, we'd love to meet you. In this role, you'll support providers across multiple senior living communities and help create a positive patient experience while delivering outstanding care. This position requires local travel and the flexibility to visit 1–3 communities throughout the day based on patient and provider needs.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vitals and assist with patient assessments
• Support providers during examinations, treatments, and follow-up appointments
• Travel between 1–3 senior living communities per day to support patient care needs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the healthcare team
• Provide education, guidance, and support to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records
• Assist with diagnostic testing and help coordinate patient care plans
• Contribute to a smooth, efficient, and patient-focused clinical environment

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Diploma or certification preferred
• Experience taking patient vital signs and supporting clinical care
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between local communities
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional patient service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare, primary care, or senior living settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
• A positive attitude and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Pay

$21.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
