Responsibilities

• Aid in screenings and treatments by gathering and updating patient information, managing medications, updating allergies, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
• Maintain vigilance over patient conditions and promptly communicate any changes.
• Carefully maintain medical equipment, supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (as designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee).
• Completion of a clinical externship (or extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal externship).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period).
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Preference given to military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Graduation from an approved Medical Assisting Program, completion of a clinical externship, BLS certification, and demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Preferred qualifications: Medical Assisting Certification, successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship, physical requirements including manual dexterity, extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, and light work capacity.

Skills

• Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
• Good visual acuity for normal or corrected vision.
• Light Work capacity (up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently).

Pay

Pay Range: Minimum hourly $19.75, Maximum hourly $27.75.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
