Medical Assistant or LPN - Physician Office

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Collects and reviews patient histories and conducts routine laboratory procedures.
• Prepares specimens for laboratory analysis and communicates test results to providers and patients.
• Provides patient education materials and maintains medical records.
• Maintains medical equipment and orders necessary clinical supplies.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire or proof of active license/certification.
• EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or NREMT (Nationally Recognized Emergency Medical Technician) certification.
• Paramedic certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant externship is highly valued and should be included in the application and resume.
• Provide details of the externship location and dates.

Qualifications

• Compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
