Medical Assistant or LPN - Orthopedics

About the Role

A Certified Medical Assistant at Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. This role is integral to delivering the best patient experience consistently.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and collecting vitals
• Performing pulmonary function tests
• Administering injections
• Conducting EKGs and breathing treatments
• Performing lab testing
• Changing dressings and cleaning wounds
• Conducting hearing and vision tests
• Other duties as assigned
• Ensuring attention to detail and excellent documentation

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program
• Prior experience in an ambulatory healthcare facility preferred
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians
• Self-motivated with a focus on high patient care and customer service standards
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law

Schedule

Full-time, days, 80 hours per pay period.
