Job Responsibilities

Medical Assistant

• Handles front office duties which include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes.
• Affords to assist in the clinic by taking and recording vital signs and charting medical history, providing TB or DOT services, ordering supplies, preparing patients for examination and collecting blood or other laboratory specimens.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Under direct supervision, and perform clinical duties under the direction of the provider on duty.
• Provide immunization services, run reports, manage inventory, participate in audits, order supplies, collect blood or other laboratory specimens, take vital signs, chart medical history, provide TB and DOT services, and serve as backup to medical assistants.

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Assistant: Medical Assistant's program from an accredited technical or vocational school. Certification from Medical Assistant's program and CPR certification Phlebotomy certification or able to obtain within 3 months of hire date.
• LPN: Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college. Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certification.
