Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Collects and processes patient histories, conducts routine laboratory procedures, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Follows up on test orders, communicates results to both provider and patient, and educates patients on relevant health information.
- Maintains and updates patient electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six months of hire or proof of active license/certification.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
- Paramedic certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of medical assistant experience preferred.
- Strong bilingual skills preferred.

Schedule
The shift is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with days typically Monday through Friday. There is no weekend work, on-call duty, or flexible schedule options.
