Medical Assistant or LPN

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Collects and processes patient histories, conducts routine laboratory procedures, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Follows up on test orders, communicates results to both provider and patient, and educates patients on relevant health information.
• Maintains and updates patient electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations.
• Performs other tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six months of hire or proof of active license/certification.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
• Paramedic certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of medical assistant experience preferred.
• Strong bilingual skills preferred.

Schedule

The shift is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with days typically Monday through Friday. There is no weekend work, on-call duty, or flexible schedule options.
