About the role

We are currently hiring a Full Time Certified (Bilingual Spanish/English) HCSR-II (Health Care Service Representative) to join our Adolescent Health and Wellness Center. HCSR-II are Medical Assistants who possess their National Certified Phlebotomy Technician credentials. As a HCSR-II/Medical Assistant at AHWC, you will support providers in the areas of adolescent health and other support services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 0–1 years of related clinical experience required.
  • Certification of completion as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program and CPT Phlebotomy/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide an exceptional experience to patients.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties

  • Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and accurately record in medical records.
  • Maintain clinical logs and exam room logs.
  • Register and verify patient demographics.
  • Schedule appointments and recall patients for required services.
  • Prepare examination rooms, maintain inventory, and sterilize instruments.
  • Draw blood and collect samples for further laboratory evaluation.

Starting Compensation

Minimum $23.00 per hour; Maximum $23.00 per hour

Schedule

Position will be based out of our Bronx Adolescent Health and Wellness Center located at 960 Southern Blvd., Bronx, NY 10459. This position will require a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:30 pm.
