About the role

This position is open to LOCAL and NON-LOCAL (in WA state) candidates. This is a TEMP TO HIRE opportunity. Clinic intends to hire permanently at the end of the contract if all goes well.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for working in a procedural heavy clinic, with experience in Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology being ideal. The schedule will be 4x9hr + 1x4hr (Mon - Fri), with weekends off. The contractor is expected to FLOAT to the Ravenna clinic location on Mondays.

Requirements

6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting is REQUIRED
Experience in a procedural heavy clinic – like Urology, Otolaryngology or Dermatology - is ideal
Reliable transportation (NOT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION) is required
No additional scheduling restrictions

Skills

Vital Signs: Obtain Vital Signs
Prepare for Exam: Record History/Medications/Allergies
Set Up and Assist with Procedures: Cystoscopy, Prostate Biopsy, Bladder Scans (PVRS)
Set up and maintain sterile field
Specimen Collection: Labeling of specimens
Professional Knowledge and Skills: Rooming Patients

Benefits

Scrubs will be provided. The clinic uses EPIC for charting, and experience with EPIC is preferred.

Schedule

The schedule will be 4x9hr + 1x4hr (Mon - Fri), with weekends off. One day a week will be a half day, alternating depending on the MD’s OR day.

Pay

Overtime multiplier: 1.3% for 40 total hours in 1 week. Double time multiplier: None. Holiday pay: 1.3% for observed holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, MLK, and Christmas.
