About the role

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) team. This part-time, benefit-eligible position works 20 hours per week, 2 full days between Monday and Friday, and rotates between multiple BMC locations including Louisville and Boulder.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, verifying patient information, patient check-in/out, and coordinating appointments.
  • Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication details, allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and manual systems per protocols, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present and rooms are adequately stocked.
  • Document all aspects of patient encounters in an electronic medical record system.

Requirements

  • Good history-taking skills, strong computer skills, and accurate documentation abilities.
  • Ability to relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Self-direction in establishing priorities and working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

One of the following education or training options:

  • Completion of Medical Assistant education (certification preferred but not required).
  • Other completed medical training, education, and active certification (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA).
  • Military medical training and education with supporting documentation.
  • Completed four-year bachelor’s degree with health science coursework (unofficial transcripts required at application).

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting is preferred.

Pay

The starting hourly pay range for this position is $18.91 - $27.98/hour, commensurate with experience.
