About the role
This role is open to both Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive, and rewarding environment, helping patients feel their best while keeping the clinic running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Medical Assistant
- Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care.
- Administer medications, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures like wound care and suture removal.
- Keep patient records up to date in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running efficiently.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Deliver nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse in various settings.
- Perform patient assessments, collect data, and document care with precision.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols.
- Collaborate with a healthcare team to support patients and ensure quality care.
- Perform duties in alignment with the Missouri State Board of Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements
Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained.
- Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
- Knowledge of POCT, immunizations, and injections.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organization/time management.
- Customer service skills and comfort with Microsoft applications and EMR systems.
- Radiology Certification (if applicable) – Required for X-ray functions.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current license as a practical nurse in the State of Missouri.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
Schedule
Full time, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.
