Medical Assistant (MA) - OBGYN

About the role

Position: Medical Assistant. Location: Highland Park, IL. Employment type: Full Time. Required travel: Travel to other sites based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On‑the‑job training is provided for those without prior medical assistant training or experience.
