Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program preferred
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care preferred
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
