The Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Jaffrey Family Medicine is a full-time position dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Our team focuses on keeping the community healthy and offers a wide range of primary care services.

Responsibilities

• Aid patients in moving between exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Assist physicians in examinations, taking vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information according to established procedures, including completing referral forms, lab slips, and other necessary documentation.
• Perform basic medical procedures such as blood draws and collecting laboratory specimens, and conduct basic diagnostic tests.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, well-stocked, and equipped with proper supplies, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
• Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Have a working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative and independent work style, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and patient care.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer proficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
