Responsibilities

• Aid with direct patient care and perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol
• Absorb and relay patient histories, complete patient interviews, and measure and record vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures
• Assist with examinations, carry out treatments and special tests
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients
• Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one of the following: A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR Military Medic training OR EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
