Medical Assistant (MA) - Gynecology/Gynecological Pain & MIS

What You Will Do

• Provide clinical care under the direction of the office Physicians and Practice Manager
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit and take medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures like Colposcopy, LEEPS, Hysteroscopy
• Collect/prepare specimens
• Sterilize and High-Level Disinfection instruments and scopes
• Phone triage, test results, prior authorizations and in-basket management
• Back-up coverage for Patient Support Associates
• Perform other functions as delegated

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a Women’s Health medical office (or related field) is preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Flexibility, team player & enjoy working at a fast pace
