Medical Assistant (MA): Clinton Pulmonology

About the role
Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and ensures a positive patient experience.
This position will be primarily responsible for lab collection and lab testing. They will backfill the offices when available.
Schedule
36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, day shift
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers in patient care through patient preparation
- Collect vital signs and document patient information
- Perform basic clinical procedures
- Coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure a positive patient experience
- Perform lab collection and lab testing
- Backfill offices as needed
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program
- MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year
