About the role
Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital-sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and ensures a positive patient experience.
This position will be primarily responsible for lab collection and lab testing and will backfill offices when available.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and document vital signs
- Perform basic clinical procedures
- Coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Conduct lab collection and lab testing
- Backfill offices as needed
Requirements
- Successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program
- MA certification/registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year
