Responsibilities

• Assists physicians in examinations and treatments
• Rooms patients and gathers necessary patient information
• Measures vital signs and records data in patient charts
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Paramedic
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

Qualifications

• High School, GED, Trained, Experiential education
• One of the following licenses/certifications: MA, CNA, LPN, EMT, Paramedic
• Must have BLS certification
• For Primary Care Practices, EKG and Phlebotomy certifications are required for employees with CNA license only
• CNA, LPN, EMT license must be from Florida
• Professional, organized, detail-oriented, team player with effective communication skills
• Compassionate demeanor, excellent customer service skills, high ethical standards
• HIPAA/OSHA compliance required
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Proficient in computer applications and typing skills
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Bilingual preferred
• Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines and Medical Terminology a plus

Additional Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MA experience strongly preferred
• BLS required

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $21.24 - $27.61 per hour, depending on experience.
