Medical Assistant/LPN/EMT - Neurosurgery
About the role
Park Nicollet is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Neurosurgery team. This role is open to candidates with a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) background.
Responsibilities
- Aid providers in accordance with Park Nicollet’s standard and policies.
- Utilize broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices.
- Work Monday - Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, excluding weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Maintain a current state license of practical nursing. Current BLS certification required and maintained.
- Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES. Current BLS certification required and maintained.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate from an accredited EMT program and hold a current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification required and maintained.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: BLS provider status in accordance with AHA guidelines.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong clinical and human relations skills; effective communication; basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills; knowledge of age-related growth and development principles; ability to safely and effectively operate various equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
