About the role
The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in managing and treating patients. Responsibilities include collaborating with the health care team, prioritizing tasks, and performing delegated tasks as outlined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) with on-the-job experience and training
- Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (American Medical Technologists) with on-the-job experience and training and passing the RMA certification exam
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Passed X-Ray Operator’s examination, or willing to take exam according to individual clinic needs
Qualifications
- Current BLS Certification
- Registered Medical Assistant certification required if RMA program attended
Skills and Abilities
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of computer software applications

B11 ($19.76 - $29.64), based on experience
