About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care in a primary care setting, collaborating with physicians, clinicians, and staff to ensure patient well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, and process medication refills
  • Handle referrals and answer patient calls
  • Perform clinical intake by recording vital signs and patient history
  • Assist with patient mobility, specimen collection, and exam preparation
  • Maintain clinical supplies and ensure infection control
  • Support in-office procedures and conduct point-of-care testing, including allergy injections and testing

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current LPN or RN licensure
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
  • For medical assistants: high school diploma and certification (CMA or RMA), or willingness to attain certification within 9 months

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Ability to perform both clinical and administrative tasks
