About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care in a primary care setting, collaborating with physicians, clinicians, and staff to ensure patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, and process medication refills
- Handle referrals and answer patient calls
- Perform clinical intake by recording vital signs and patient history
- Assist with patient mobility, specimen collection, and exam preparation
- Maintain clinical supplies and ensure infection control
- Support in-office procedures and conduct point-of-care testing, including allergy injections and testing
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current LPN or RN licensure
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
- For medical assistants: high school diploma and certification (CMA or RMA), or willingness to attain certification within 9 months
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to perform both clinical and administrative tasks
