About the role
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant II to join their Riverton IM/Pediatrics/Sports Medicine Clinic. This is an immediate opening for a motivated and patient-focused individual.Responsibilities
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patients
- Collect and maintain accurate patient demographic information
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and provide providers with relevant information (lab results, vitals, medications, allergies)
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and care needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients
- Typing/keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 WPM
- Basic arithmetic, computer, and analytical skills
- Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a willingness to assist others as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to communicate professionally with physicians, staff, and patients
- Must be bilingual in Spanish

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- A medical assistant certification is preferred
