Medical Assistant II Float Pool - Full Time - Days - 8hr (multiple clinics - San Gabriel Valley)

Job Summary

Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider. Will float to nearby clinics as needed. Willing and able to travel to multiple worksites.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma/GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma. Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Minimum Experience Requirement: Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Minimum License Requirement: BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer. Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training. Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate or completion of an external MA Phlebotomy training.
• Must travel to multiple clinics Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm.
